May 22 Update
A well-deserved rest for the team this week, and fantastic to see a good roll up of players at training anyway.
May 15 Update
The Blues had few answers for a hard-running Bathurst side, but will be buoyed by a strong debut from David Kacarovski. The season looks like being an uphill battle, but from experience, those types of seasons are where the best players are developed.

May 1 Update
Big loss for the boys but some good signs as the team re-builds. The team will need to stick together, and with the injection of a couple of key players, will continue to improve through the season.

2009 Season
September 12 Update
A disappointing display from the Cowra boys who had done so well through the home and away series only to fall away in the finals, with a couple of key players not available. Great effort by Dave Bryant who does a ton of work for the club. Congratulations to Bathurst.

Dubbo 4	3	27
August 29 Update
Not the team’s best effort for the season, but the team has a second chance in this weekend’s Prelim Final against Dubbo who eliminated Orange. Coach Dave Bryant will need a full team on deck if they are going to beat the young Demons outfit.
Bathurst 11	11	77
Cowra 5	4	34
August 22 Update
Blues travel poorly to Orange and play poorly as well as Tigers easily account for them. First loss of the season but still secure minor premiership. Josh Kennedy wins League goalkicking award.

Big win against an under-manned Mudgee team. Solid team effort all around the park. Good to see Talen Rimene and Brandon Harvey both back having a run.
Cowra 31-13-199 Mudgee 4-1-25
July 4 Update
Ordinary start against Orange but strong final three quarters kept the Blues unbeaten. James Boyce starred with 6 goals, Reece Starbuck kicked 5. Great games from Barry Archer, who also filled in for seniors to make his debut, along with Justin Corkery, Murray Armour and Huw Smith.
Cowra Blues	2.6 9.7 13.12 19.17 (131)

June 20 Update
Solid 100 point win over the visiting Dubbo side, 18-15-123 to 3-5-23, Josh Kennedy with 4 goals and Reece Starbuck and James Boyce 3 each. Murray Armor continues to improve, with Wayne Collett, Nathan Dennis and Kevin Book among Cowra’s best.
June 13 Update
Again no local footy but a pie night at training on Thursday night kept spirits up.
June 6 Update
No club footy but a solid effort by the CWAFL rep team against NRFL. Cowra players Reece Starbuck, Kevin Book and Shannon Hunt made the team, along with James Boyce who missed the game through injury.
May 30 Update
No footy this weekend
May 23 Update
A rare win for the 17s in Bathurst to continue their unbeaten start to the season. Murray Armour a handy pick up for the side in his first game. Cowra began slow and kicked poorly at goal, wasting many opportunities, but prevailed by 10 points. Nathan Dennis had a great game, as did Huw Smith and Daniel Bedford. A number of players showed the result of poor attendance at training.
Cowra Blues 1.4 2.7 5.11 7.12 (54)
Bathurst Bushrangers	2.2 3.4 4.4 6.8 (44)
May 16 Update
Mudgee unable to field a team so no game this week but hopefully a ‘catch-up’ game will be played later in season - stay tuned for more details.
Congratulations to Reece Starbuck who made his First Grade debut on the weekend.
Players to be nominated for rep teams shortly.
May 9 Update
Strong performance at home against the Bathurst Bushrangers.
After a close first half, the blues pulled away to win by 40 points and stay on top of the ladder.
Cowra Blues	3.2 7.4 12.4 19.4 (118)
Bathurst Bushrangers	3.2 6.3 9.6 12.6 (78)
Good return match from Justin Corkery, while Reece Starbuck with 9 goals and Wayne Collett also played well.
May 2 Update
Always a hard trip to Dubbo, but a strong contingent came away with a hard-fought 12 point win: Cowra 11-10-76 Dubbo 10-4-64
The Blues had plenty of contributors with Kevin Book, James Boyce and Nathan Dennis the standouts. Mitchell McCormack did well at fullback.
Congratulations to James Boyce who made his First Grade debut on the weekend.
The team will be looking forward to the return of Justin Corkery and Talen Rimene this weekend.
